TCP is a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise helping Conscious Media Archetypes go from ideation to transformation through public relations, communications, and media activations.
As the launch of The Conscious Publicist commences, I am feeling waves of excitement and gratitude. I have never felt more aligned with creation and creativity than I do now. Over the next few months, we’ll dive into more insight and updates on what’s to come with this brand, the platform we are creating, and how we want to activate the voices in our community. I am humbled to have you on this journey with us!
For those who are new here, I am the Founder of The Conscious Publicist®. As an executive publicist, editor-in-chief, digital journalist, and an aspiring author and global speaker, I am an advocate and provocateur for storytelling, voice activation, and integrations that raise consciousness through the media. I am also a firm believer that everyone has a story and message to share. Our mission is to create a space for our clients and community to affirm their desires in becoming the thought leaders and subject matter experts they are called to be. The Conscious Publicist® is projected to become a space for just that. We want our platform to inspire you to give yourself permission to be who you want to be and be recognized for your gifts along the way. We are here to create that spotlight and path to visibility for you.
If you are curious to learn more about me then keep reading! While we were crafting ideas for launch content, I was inspired by the idea to share insightful facts that give you the full picture of who I am and how that connects to what we do. It’s story time so put your phone on Do Not Disturb and let’s dive in.
In May of 2008, I sat in our high school auditorium during my senior year commencement seminar a few weeks prior to graduation. I remember passing time with my daydreaming thoughts about moving out to California after graduation, as my thoughts felt more intentional for me at this time. It never once crossed my mind that I would have been nominated for one of the peer-elected awards that were given to the senior class during these sessions. As the emcee called out the awards in their categories over the microphone, the names of the winning nominees shortly followed. As I overheard the introduction to the award for ‘most changed throughout high school’, my name then echoed through the speakers.
I stood up, surprised, and began walking down the aisle towards the auditorium stage with eyes from my peers focused on me, some just as surprised as I was. I was greeted with a stash, turned to face the audience with the rest of the awarded peers on stage, and this is the thought I remember most. “What part of the natural evolution of the human experience is considered as ‘most changed’?” My belief then and now is that change creates a path to self-discovery; to explore deeper parts of who we are and who we want to be.
Now, nearly 14 years later, I have become an advocate for change; an advocate for unlearning and unraveling from past selves, mistakes, and what I have ‘known’, to create a space to learn what ‘should be’ and what I truly want. Although challenging, change can open portals to endless opportunities for growth and expansion. As each year passes, I strive to win the award for most changed from my year prior. It’s grown to be an award I can’t wait to receive.
Envisioning the connections that are still waiting to be made is what motivates me every day. As a Natural Number Two, Projector, INFJ, and Collaborator, I am designed for connection and meaningful engagements. Connection to me is creating an energetic connection between people and their stories, to opportunities for visibility and growth. Connection is also about connecting both spoken and written words to audiences who need them most. I pride myself on being a catalyst for amplifying conscious, radiant voices to attract the recognition and awareness they deserve. My divine gift is to mirror my client’s stories to create an energetic connection to the collective.
However, connection is also tied to the connection I have with myself. It’s through understanding the natural flow of energy and intuition that’s within me, that I am able to make such strong connections with and for others. Thanks to modalities such as meditation, breath work, and other types of energy work, I am able to strengthen that connection within myself in order to pour out to others. It’s a gift to be a part of this experience.
One of my favorite hobbies each year is updating my vision boards. I usually will create 2-3 at a time. Oftentimes, I’ll have a collective board that showcases a number of goals and experiences I want to manifest. Other times, I’ll create a theme board that tells a story. Reflecting on the two boards currently in my office, I am noticing a unique balance. There are the experiences I want to attract, but what is currently taking the lead is messages and sayings that represent how I want to feel through those experiences.
You are what you believe yourself to be.
Getaways to find your zen.
A happier and healthier you.
Change your thoughts and you change your world.
There is power in words that directly connect to how they make me feel when reflecting upon them. Words for me create an energetic vibration to the possibilities of all that is waiting to be experienced. This is another reason why I love what I do. You can use words and messages/stories as a way to manifest experiences in your life. This has become one of my favorite yearly traditions. I can’t wait to see all that is left to add to my boards to come.
The book I am currently reading is Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza. One of the biggest takeaways from this book so far is the power of living in the unknown. Joe Dispenza expresses that there is no space for the unknown in a predictable life. What creates a predictable life? A predictable life is often created by unconscious relationships, routines, thoughts, behaviors, habits, and emotions. By experiencing cycles of the ‘familiar’, you are programming your body and mind to live in a predictable future, a place where presence can’t exist.
The divine unknown opens a portal to new relationships, experiences, thoughts, aligned choices, and decisions. This reprograms the circuits in your brain to feel vibrations of excitement around attracting new possibilities of growth and expansion. Acknowledging parts of our lives that no longer serve us attracts levels of happiness that shift our human experience from the past to the present.
Although still soaking in the richness of this material, I would 10/10 highly recommend this book!
As there is power in vulnerability, the first thing that comes to mind is becoming a mother. Growing up, I was never sure what my future held around parenthood. However, over the last 2-to-3 years, I’ve sensed that this path could very much become a reality. First, it was an energetic and spiritual feeling. Then the visions and dreams came through. However, the most magical part is that my business flourishes the more I tap into the possibility of being a mother. I feel that it’s my destiny to create a business and lifestyle that provides the opportunity to raise conscious-minded children.
The vision of becoming a mother has been a transformative experience. When I make time to visualize future versions of myself, I meet deeper parts of myself in the present moment. When I visualize becoming a mother, I remember how expansive my heart is and how nurturing I can be. I’m also reminded that my experiences and lessons are meant to act as a guide to enlighten others. As we are now the ancestors, I believe we have an opportunity to pave a better path for future generations.
